Images For Android Phones: A Place To Rest With Colors

a morning trek
so patiently caressed
on winding paths
while colors reach out
with subtle invitation
through angled trees
and grass so lean
the intrepid eye
never at rest
seeking things anew
with every test of step
except for here
under the gazebo
with summer’s warm
– embrace
as i wait for you
– knowingly
feeling at peace
feeling transcendent
Images For Android Phones: The Last Moment (A Setting Sun Remix)

sitting on the beach
with the cooling sand
caressing my sandaled feet
mind and body
feeling bonded
with this very moment
the last moment
– here
with the setting sun
and you
while my joy
– and clouds
join in blended
transformation
leaving the waves
a fluid surrender
to a day ending
Images For Android Phones: Flow Goes The Night (A Being There Remix)

A late night drive. Alone. Afraid. One last stop. The next to last exit. The very next turn. Into the dark of yesterday. Leaving the light of knowing behind. Only to find the last stop had no answers to sell.
Images For Android Phones: Monday Afternoon

There is a classic ambient piece by Brian Eno entitled Thursday Afternoon. An one hour shimmering landscape in the style of Music For Airports. This piece Monday Afternoon was created on Tuesday night while listening to Pandora Radio on my Droid phone. Slowly revisiting the drive into Savannah, GA. And the crossing of this remarkable bridge. Beautiful Sunshine. Warm atmosphere. Cool wind. Simmering heat.

Images For Android Phones: Every Pop-Art Moment Needs A Self Portrait

It’s so sixties hitting the beach. Sunrise, ocean, girls and guys. Bright colors, water ice and boardwalks. Bikinis. Everything’s pop. Everything’s art. On the pier, it’s Andy Warhol. With the Beach Boys surfing, and free love everywhere. And you know … it’s soon to be groovy. With guest appearances by Frankie Avalon, The Beatles, my favorite cousin, Godzilla and Twiggy. And now … It feels like yesterday as I move into Warrior pose and Sun Salutation. Power to the people.
Images For Android Phones: Pop-Art In Motion

Revisiting the past and spinning brakes. A life without a caution. Pop goes the art. Over the cliff. Off the road. And Crash. Red meets blue and yellow finds green. Andy Warhol’s last thoughts. Wheels turning effortlessly as the years mount up. There’s a story here … And a Pontiac Bonnerville circa 1967.

Nothing You Ever Do Is Collected In One Moment (A Two Worlds Collide Remix)
Perfection can be found over time when you follow your instincts….
Something other than remaining…
I often wonder when a work of art is finished. What defines a piece as being complete; needing no further creative intervention on the part of the artist? Perhaps nothing (completion) is ever collected in one moment. If as artists, we seek to embrace the process, then it is possible that perfection is truly the antithesis to what we hope to accomplish; the creation of great art, the connection with self, and the freedom to allow instinct to govern.
Instinct is a mystery. It has no ending. No point at which it is defined.
When I create a work of art, I first view it as a part of a whole. That whole being one that is infinite.
– A life time of creating.
That which is the part of a whole, only serves to contribute to a never-ending journey; the idea of nurturing the creative instinct that lies within the realm of the visceral. While at times abandoning conscious decision-making.
Sometimes it serves us well to know that the perfection that is born of one’s decision, is not the perfection that is found over time …
In the end trust in the mystery….

A Post Written With Random Thoughts
Sometimes a post is worth less than a thousand words….
It is a struggle sometimes to keep up with the pace of life. Better to find a moment of peace. I often think about things too much. For too long. Finding only temporary distraction when I am far too busy. Doing almost nothing of any true importance. Like discovering an insignificant place in time. Is it me, I seek to know? Or a vision of something that holds me captive? It is, perhaps (on a good day) all about waking to the dream that belongs to someone else. Feeling something. Something amiss in my own interpretation. Somewhere in the lost-not-found.
And then…
Feeling a strong sense of delight. In awe. The things inescapable. Like the beauty of a rising sun, an intrepid step, or a moon-filled night.
Then there is of course the consequence of not following the plan. Any plan. Failing to listen to destiny. My destiny.
And now…
It feels like I’ve just begun to say something….
The City Series: First Published Book

I just received the first copy of my self-published book: n e w d i g i t a l s c a p e s – art for posts: the city series. It is a 20 page volume of art, prose and poetry. The print quality is very good. And I am pleased with the final product.
The Waking Dream That Brings Such Beautiful Light
Sometimes it only takes a moment to feel a dream has something to say….
a soft moment …
of transition
– sleeping in slumber
– waking in peace
an ethereal awareness

now
– in the present moment
centered
in an intuitive way
– to life
– to meaning
a very dreaming day …
