Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine

for all time
with endless love
mine
All weekend I have been thinking of my lovely daughter Lady, and her timeless heart. Never to be forgotten. This has always been one of my favorite photographs of her: Young, beautiful and imaginative. I thought this week’s challenge would be a perfect tribute to her. Rest in peace my Lady Pooh.
The Secret Place Of Lingering Memories

the life of memories
an endless vastness
– timeless
without world’s end
stretching beyond yesterday’s dream
and tomorrow’s infinite horizon
the life of memories
and its inner fortress
– the secret place
The Path To Grace And The Summit Of Ascension

Last night
I had a dream
So deep
Forever freeing
Never a moment
Did I long for awareness
Of the waking world
Here on the path of Grace
Beauty
Stillness
Love
As I ascended
Through the floating
Orbs of mystery
– past – time
And the Grace
That is You
A Moment In The Woods And A Mountain To Look Up To

I love the season of the bike
In the woods
On the mountain
By the lake
Over the rocks and streams
With blue skies above
Through fallen leaves and barren trees
A trail that weaves to and fro
A drop here
A lift there
I love the season of the bike
In the woods
On the mountain
What You Know To Be Right Is What Someone Has Told You

on a quiet shore
a solitary figure
not unlike yourself
shattered by the day
delineated by the question
of rights and wrongs
in life …
again and again
What Do You Remember On A Beautiful Fall Day

an ocean wave
a salty smell
and flocks of seagulls
– in soaring flight
eclisping the summer sun
Weekly Photo Challenge: Solitary

A solitary moment can be found almost anywhere. Mountain biking, gives me the opportunity to be one with nature, explore my inner solitude and focus my imposing will against the difficult terrain. Here is a shot from this weekend as my partner and I rode the trails at FANTS Grove at the forestry of Clemson University in South Carolina.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life

I took this shot at Virginia Beach. A leisure kind of day. As we go through life, we sometimes need a ‘break’ from everyday life.
A Link To My New Published Art Book
http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3536063 Check out my new art book. I have taken the best posts from my blog that express my love for abstract art, prose, and poetry. It is a blissful, mindful examination of all things from an introspective anaylsis. I am very excited. The book is a small square, 76 page volume hardcover. Available at BlurbBooks. Your thoughts and comments are welcome. And with the holiday season on the horizon, perhaps you will find it to be the perfect gift. Peace and Love.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far
It has been a while since I posted on the Challenge. I really like this prompt. So here is my contribution. It is a photo taken with my Android phone of the shore line in Virginia Beach. The phone has no zoom capability. So everything looks far away. But the chair, my girlfriend and the shore line are closer than they appear. I don’t usually contribute any black and white photos, but for this challenge I felt the desire to do so. Some soft focus treatments are used on the image.
Another Earth: Girl On The Beach
A moment of drifting waves and splashing sky, with the colors of thing to come …
drifting on the endless sea
the timeless invocation
of thoughts colliding
like the waves upon the shore
and the distant
skyward memories
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Meaningful World
Outside my window, in a virtuous world, there can only be … a willingness to let go.
if every day
it meant something
– to you
– to the mirror in me
to protect the heart
even the whole of the world
would i hold my dying breath
to let it all go …
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Virtuous World (At A Crossroad Remix)
Outside my window, in a revealing moment, I see the choices of my life …
disintegrating
with decisions we make
about to what we dream
to whom we should be
and what it means
– to you
and to the mirror
that stands before me …
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Industrial World (A Future Lost Remix)
Outside my window, in the last industrial park, the remnants of dreams lost and a world decaying…
the industrial age has come and gone
a global feudal state awaits for the masses
– perhaps
but for now we can only look to a future unknown
as the structure of civilization unravels
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Different World (An Unstructured Thought Remix)
outside my window … beyond the last penned poem
– i see what I can only feel
a sense of disillusionment …
and it is here
– in the world of my own making
that I can no longer provoke a sense of place within this …
an unstructured world, a world without end.
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Fading World (A Deeper Understanding Remix)
Outside my window, I find that some things are without understanding…
It is a complicated world in which we live. It appears as one thing, yet emerges as another…
contemplative - destructive engaging - futile
A world fading and in conflict with itself….
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Unknown World (A Thought Beyond Remix)
Outside my window and with every thought, I discovered the color and design of things unknown…
The colors are all in front of me and my world will never collapse from within…
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Timeless World (An Outside My Window Remix)
The feeling of motion, spacial and timeless; the secret call to go out and see …
There is a feeling, a blissful connection with self …
Here on the ascension …
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Parisian World (A 1990 Paris France Remix)
As I Stood on the Eiffel Tower and looked across the rooftops of Paris, I marveled at the world I had discovered…
What an eclectic moment, basking in timeless beauty, here above the City of Lights.
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Sleeping World (A On The Street Remix)
It was an early morning moment when I awakened from my deep and troubled sleep…
Post Canvas And Paint: Another Creative World (A On The Corner Remix)
On a corner, somewhere in my world, I can find a place … to embrace … imagination.
It is here, in this world, in the experience that is my life, I find myself...
Images For Android Phones: Pop-Art Meets 2012 US Women’s Open Champion – Na Yeon Choi
What a fantastic victory for the 24 year old South Korean, Na Yeon Choi. Poise, skill and some rather good luck led her to her first US Major Championship. It was a difficult course depleting most of the opposition. She and fellow Korean, Amy Yang were the only two competitors to finish under-par. Yes without a doubt Na Yeon Choi is my favorite female athlete. You go Girl!
Images For Android Phones: A River Runs Through It

Red. The color of those who lost their lives during the American Revolution. This is a photograph of the Enoree River In the back country of South Carolina. During a recent hike, I visited the Musgrove Historic State Park. A signifcant battleground between the British, American Loyalists, and the American Patroits. Intense and bloody battles insued. A divided country. Friend vs friend. Brother vs brother.
red…
a transfusion of color
in blood and tears
– of lost
and gain
but not without
the soul in pain
– the spirit transformed
and the cries of freedom
in red flow
down by the river
brave men fought for independence
– for some
