My fifth video “Form and Void”, in my short film series entitled “Your World Disappearing” continues the exploration of ambiguity, magic and lost, and on the edge of everything ending. Again, I am using film that I shot from various locales such as the shore, mountains, and forest combined with some sampled imagery to bring this series into an elemental sense of organic ambiance. I composed the music from samples and each piece is constructed to give the feeling of alienation, detachment and a bittersweet wonderment.

  1. This makes me think of old film breaking down. (I guess that’s one of the points, eh?;-)

    • Hi Linda, I am sorry I am just getting back to comment. How are you? I like the feel of old film deteriorating in my work. It is expressive and lends a sense of abstraction. It also matches my current emotional sense of being. The series is a reflection of that.

      • Old film breaking down? Sounds like you’re going through a rough patch. Sorry to hear that. I hope your art sustains you.

        • Linda, life is a continuous evolution of ups and down. A Ying and a Yang. I am slowly moving toward a more positive expressive state. My next short series is the opposite of ” Your World Disappearing”. I am entitling it “Your World Beginning”. Be on the look out for videos and images.
