experiment: data complex 6 | all is forgiven

**********************************************

All is forgiven …

with the final
curtain call
and their last dance
with our beating hearts
and the setting sun
with its’ last goodbye

All is forgiven …

when strange fruit
and black bodies
(hooded)
as they sometimes may be
succumbs … for the last time
to the poplar tree

This was a fascinating piece Walter. The video portion has many connotations. There are reverberations of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari , vaudeville, the original Twilight Zone & Outer Limits shows and the Mass Media transformation of society. Add the context of the verse and an expanding sequence of social change and societal memory develops. Very thought provoking. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thanks Joseph. Sorry for the delay in my response to your comments. I enjoy taking in your perspective. Your knowledge of art history and media is rich with inspiration for me. And the Outer Limits … well, is and always will be one of the most innovative and beautiful crafted shows of all time. I’ve always loved it. And it has been a big influence on my thought process into the abstract and surreal.
