experiment: data complex 6 | all is forgiven

**********************************************

All is forgiven …

with the final
curtain call
and their last dance
with our beating hearts
and the setting sun
with its’ last goodbye

All is forgiven …

when strange fruit
and black bodies
(hooded)
as they sometimes may be
succumbs … for the last time
to the poplar tree

This was a fascinating piece Walter. The video portion has many connotations. There are reverberations of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari , vaudeville, the original Twilight Zone & Outer Limits shows and the Mass Media transformation of society. Add the context of the verse and an expanding sequence of social change and societal memory develops. Very thought provoking. 🙂

    • Thanks Joseph. Sorry for the delay in my response to your comments. I enjoy taking in your perspective. Your knowledge of art history and media is rich with inspiration for me. And the Outer Limits … well, is and always will be one of the most innovative and beautiful crafted shows of all time. I’ve always loved it. And it has been a big influence on my thought process into the abstract and surreal.
