Everywhere I looked the City Hosted the Old-Timey Bikes

The city series….

A biking city is a beautiful city

a city

a bike

and streets to explore

we’re downtown

and all around

by the river

on the pier

stopping for art

ipod in ears

moving there

nestled here

we love the journey

yours and mine

with personal finds

a city

a bike

as one….

    • Thanks Nandini, I love the combination of a bike and a city. The old-timey bikes in particular are well suited for urban crusing. I have lived in both Philadelphia (urban) and now near the mountains of North Carolina, so I do a lot of both mountain and road biking. There is so much freedom and beauty in biking.

    • You have to get a bike, you have those beautiful mountains around you to explore.

  3. Biking cities are great, and I love the old timey bikds. They sometimes remind me of the witch in her human form in Wizard of Oz. πŸ™‚ Wonderful post!

    • Katie, you would love The Netherlands. During my visit there I was overwhelmed with pleasure at the site of so many bikes and the culture it creates.

  6. Thank you Deb, for the wonderful comment. I had a great time in New Orleans, and there were so many of these old-timey bikes everywhere. I just stopped by your blog. I like the new look.

    • I was amazed at the amount of biking in New Orleans. And it was in the mid 80’s temperature wise.
